The XXII edition of the TotalEnergies Gran Fondo Pico de las Nieves has a demanding route and 3 categories to suit all levels. You will experience an intense day, reserved for cycling enthusiasts. Participants will be able to surpass themselves every year by choosing a different category, which one will be yours?
You will enjoy the high mountains, volcanoes and ravines of Gran Canaria. A small world apart, declared a Biosphere Reserve. A perfect destination for cycling enthusiasts. A miniature continent where you can pedal and breathe. And a unique opportunity to enjoy nature close to a sea of good weather.

This is the main category, a high-altitude Gran Fondo, where riders will face the toughest mountain pass in Europe. The figures of this category speak for themselves of the magnitude of this colossus, such as its 138 kilometres of length, 1,906 metres of altitude, 3,522 metres of positive vertical drop and ramps of up to 23%.

Start in Telde (Plaza San Juan) and Finish at Pico de las Nieves.
3 Timed Sections. 1st Section: La Higuera Canaria - Alto Los Lomitos; 2nd Section: Alto de Temisas and 3rd Section: Pico de Las Nieves.

The village of Ingenio, will receive the end of the Advanced category. Before that, the second timed section of the day will take place, along the GC-551 to Era del Cardón and along GC-65 to Santa Lucía, turn right to Alto de Temisas 2nd category at +900 m altitude. After the ascent, we go down again to Agüimes, and take the road to Barranco de Guayadeque, turn right to Ingenio.
88 km distance, +1600 m total elevation gain, maximum altitude 817 m (Temisas)
Start in Telde (Plaza San Juan) and arrival in La Pasadilla.
2 timed sections: 1st Alto de Temisas and 2nd Ingenio - La Pasadilla.
3 liquid/solid refreshment stations
The Starter category of 25.4 kilometres will take you to the well-known town of Valsequillo along a classic cycling road via La Higuera Canaria, after overcoming the 606 metres of the first pass of Altos del Lomito. Afterwards, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Telde and a large part of the eastern part of the island of Gran Canaria.
